Layla Khamoushian is the founding attorney of Khamoushian Law Group, a U.S. immigration law firm based in Los Angeles, California. She represents individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals in a wide range of complex immigration matters, including family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, employment-based visas, and removal defense.

Known for her meticulous preparation and strategic advocacy, Ms. Khamoushian has successfully guided clients through high-stakes cases involving asylum, waivers, extraordinary ability petitions, and other nuanced areas of immigration law.

Ms. Khamoushian earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2004, and she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UCLA. Since 2005, she has been admitted to practice law in California and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Her practice, influenced by her own journey as an immigrant, is distinguished by a client-centered approach that combines rigorous legal analysis with clear communication and compassionate support, ensuring that each client fully understands their options and the path forward.

Layla is also passionate about wellness and has served on the Health and Wellness Committee of California Lawyers Association for many years and has participated as a panelist for other organizations, speaking on lawyer wellbeing.  She is an avid yoga practitioner, meditator and enjoys traveling. Layla speak fluent Farsi (Persian) and is conversational in Spanish.

Meet Our Team

Olga Marina Crabb joined Khamoushian Law Group in 2022 as Marketing Director and Case Manager for Russian-speaking clients. She holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and brings a strong background in marketing and strategic communications to the firm. Olga manages all Russian-speaking clients while leading the firm’s marketing and social media initiatives with a client-focused approach.

Originally from Kazakhstan, her own immigration journey inspired her passion for working with immigrants and immigration law firms. Olga is also an accomplished tennis player and won the USTA National Championship in 2023.

Mayra Romero joined Khamoushian Law Group as a paralegal in 2024, bringing a strong commitment to supporting immigrants through their legal journeys. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Management from University of California, Merced and is actively pursuing a legal career focused on advocacy and community support. Fluent in Spanish, Mayra assists the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients with compassionate and reliable guidance.

As the granddaughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, Mayra’s passion for immigration law is deeply personal. Her background inspires her dedication to accessible legal services and empowering immigrant communities through education, advocacy, and informed support. Having grown up in a community shaped by the motto “Sí Se Puede” — yes, it can be done — Mayra approaches her work with optimism, resilience, and a steadfast belief in the transformative power of opportunity.
